Night Shift

"I want you to imagine the taste of yesterday's Jaegerbombs. Medicinal, acidic and decidedly second hand. A wheaty note of beer and the particular acrid sting of half digested tequila. Liberally flavoured with what I can only imagine is some kind of kebab. I mean that's traditional, right? Hit the tiles, get in on the signature cocktails and the largess of whoever is buying, and then once they make last call you haul wobble-foot to Ahmed's or Empire or Istanbul for a half a foot of pure unadulterated sustenance, ambrosial blessing of a smarter man's motherland, yes, extra tahini, thank you, and a Coke Zero to go."

There's a trick to being able to juggle high pressure corporate functions, raising two kids and an elderly cat. When the temptation arises to burn the candle at both ends, it pays to think laterally.
